Collection: Veronica Schwarz

Veronica Schwarz, born in Darwin and spent her childhood on Victoria River Downs cattle station, in the Northern Territory, Australia. Educated in Brisbane, she became a primary school teacher. With a passion for history and travel, she sailed overseas at the age of 24, spending seven years travelling, and working in Europe, Britain, Canada and the USA. Her first short story was published in Woman’s Day in 1965.

Veronica's recent book Ride the Wind, Choose the Fire tells the story of Joan of Arc through a serious of imaginary interviews with Joan. Veronica is currently working on a series of books on busting the myths of gender stereotypes.
